Salvation Reports Climb with Key Bearer Donations

By Ron Kopczick | July 10, 2008

As donations to the Key Bearers ministry reach record levels, so do the number of incarcerated men and women committing their lives to Jesus Christ. By the end of June, 615 inmates reported making salvation decisions during the first six months of 2008.

More than 5,200 prisoners have mailed salvation response forms to the offices of Today’s Pentecostal Evangel since January 2004. During that span giving has reached a record-level every year, culminating in donations of nearly $178,000 for 2007.

Total funding for Key Bearers since its creation in 1996 has surpassed $1.6 million, providing nearly 7.3 million copies of the Evangel and its Spanish counterpart, Evangelio Pentecostal Hoy, to men and women in hundreds of correctional institutions throughout the United States.

The impact of the Key Bearers program is a tribute to the individuals and churches who are concerned about America’s forgotten society. Every dollar donated to Key Bearers sponsors four copies of TPE. One Evangel is typically read by several inmates.
